Match Duration
The beach wrestling match consists of a single 3 minute period for all weight classes. Beach wrestling is practiced only in the standing position
The neutral combat position occurs at the beginning of combat and after each interruption. Both athletes will face each other in the centre of the combat zone and wait for the signal from the referee to continue the fight.

To the fighter who manages to make his opponent touch the sand with some part of his body, except for the hands.
To the wrestler who manages to bring any part of his opponent's body out of the zone of combat.
To the wrestler whose opponent receives a warning for having performed an illegal technique

Wining of the fight
The athlete who scores 3 points wins the match. If the combat ends with a tie on points, the following criteria will determine the winner:

Illegal actions and techniques are:
• Grips that cause dislocation
• Strangulations
• Pinching, hitting, nodding, threatening looks
• Put your finger in the eyes, ears, nose
• Pulling the hair, nose, ears or pinching the groin
• Direct projections on the opponent's head or neck
• Apply any greasy or slippery substance on the body
• Stop the fight or leave the combat zone without justified reason
• Faking an injury
All illegal actions and techniques will be reprimanded with 1 point for the opponent up to a maximum of 3 warnings in the same fight, which will end the fight and eliminate the fighter at fault.
